Energy professionals are invited to attend this one-hour webinar on Tuesday, October 29, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm (ET) via Zoom to learn practical skills for navigating disputes in the energy sector.
Taught from a variety of perspectives - the neutral, in-house counsel and law firm counsel - this program will cover best practices in preventing and resolving energy disputes.
Gain insights and learning from experienced professionals that will help you shape your strategy for resolving and managing disputes expeditiously and efficiently.
Participants will learn more about:
- Crafting an efficient ADR clause for your contract, including use of stepped clauses and considerations in the selection of arbitration rules
- Best practices in selecting your mediator and/or arbitrator(s)
- Strategies for negotiations in mediation
- Obtaining security for costs and asset recovery in the arbitration
- Strategies for keeping your energy disputes on track and on budget.
- Document management and use of the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration.

The fee is $49, payable at registration with a credit card.
A bulk ticket is available for $499 for organizations that wish to register multiple people. This ticket generates a promo code that can be distributed throughout the organization for individuals to use when registering.
CLE Credit:
The organizers expect to receive approval for 1 NY CLE credit in Professional Practice for experienced attorneys. (Please note: CLE credit is only available to those that attend the live webinar.)
*NY CLE: CPR (International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution) has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of Continuing Legal Education in the State of New York. This continuing legal education course has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State CLE Rules and Regulations for credits as indicated above.
CPR Financial Aid Policy:
CPR is a non-profit organization. Under financial hardship guidelines, at its discretion, CPR may waive the fee for attorneys who demonstrate that they are not currently employed (not retirees). CPR may also provide a special discounted price to attorneys, full time judges and administrative law judges practicing in the nonprofit and public sectors full time.
