New York, NY — The International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), a global non-profit organization that advances dispute prevention and resolution practices and solutions, announces that Mia Levi, former Director of ADR Services, Construction Division, at the American Arbitration Association, joined CPR on January 4, 2021. Levi assumed the role of Vice President of Global Development for Dispute Resolution Services.
CPR’s Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) offers a diversity of services – from administered arbitration to mediation to dispute prevention mechanisms – all designed to help parties prevent legal disputes or resolve them more effectively and efficiently when they arise. DRS harnesses the work product of the CPR Institute, which develops rules, procedures and protocols from the perspective of the end user and deploys them through the 600-plus outstanding neutrals who comprise the Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. The seasoned and sophisticated case management staff of DRS administers these services with competitive rates to help parties reach the solutions they seek.
“Mia will be an outstanding addition to the DRS team. She brings to us a wealth of provider experience, and is highly regarded for her understanding of dispute resolution processes and for her responsiveness to the needs of the parties,” said CPR President & CEO Allen Waxman. “She will be able to help CPR further put into practice the innovative tools generated by our think tank, the CPR Institute, and further utilize the tremendous talent of our Panel.”
Levi first joined the AAA in 2013 as International Case Counsel for the International Centre for Dispute Resolution and later became Director of ADR Services for the Construction Division, where she was responsible for administering complex, multi-party and high-profile construction cases as well as developing and recruiting a diverse panel of neutrals and new matters for the construction division.
Prior to joining the AAA, Levi served as a Research Assistant for Judge William G. Bassler (Ret.), a former United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and current adjunct professor at Fordham Law School in New York City. She also worked as a Law Clerk at Cosby & Higgins LLP, a Manhattan-based firm that represents clients in business disputes, intellectual property matters, and technology ventures.
