Arbitration Group Urges High Court To Define 'Tribunal'


In her Law 360 piece, author Victoria McKenzie covered the amicus brief CPR filed in  AlixPartners, LLP, et al., v. The Fund for Protection of Investor Rights in Foreign States, before the U.S. Supreme Court on November 8, 2021. 

CPR has urged the Supreme Court to clarify the scope of a statute that allows federal courts to order discovery in certain foreign disputes. CPR takes no position on the merits of the case but has an interest in clarification after a similar case pending before the court was withdrawn in September.
